Look around our country, point to something, and say, we got that from
the Billions earned from North sea oil. What would you point at?
If Scots don't not vote YES in September 2014 then this bleeding of the
country's natural resources will, given the experience of the last 30 or 40 years, continue with
no discernible improvement for the Scottish people.
With similar population sizes, natural resources and geographical location - where did it all go so right for Norway, and in comparative terms so wrong for Scotland?
The leader of the NO or 'Better Together' campaign Alistair Darling in a recent BBC Hardtalk interview said 'The UK squandered it all" and he also admitted that there was "no question, Scotland can afford to be independent". For once in the Scottish independence debate I agree with him.
How all the unionist
political parties have presided over this betrayal of the Scots is beyond
comprehension, and how the media in Scotland including the BBC have
colluded in perpetuated this Unionist mythology defies belief.
If Scots vote NO in September 2014 then they are basically saying that
what has occurred over the last 30 years is fine and they don't mind. I don't think it is fine,
and I do mind, so I shall be voting YES.
